I want to answer all your calls and texts, but sometimes I can’t.
I want to show up for you, but sometimes I can’t.
I want to hear every word you say, but sometimes I can’t.
I want to be a good friend, but sometimes I can’t.
I want to say the right words, but sometimes I can’t.
I want to pour all my love into you, but sometimes I can’t.
I’ve gone through stages of life when I was able to be there for my friends and when I couldn’t, I felt guilty when I couldn’t be the friend they needed.
