Poem about Grief
Grief is a thief of love and a birth of a new beginning.
A beginning you didn’t ask for or even explore.
A beginning that rocks your world to its core!
Grief breaks your heart, and you feel like you’re going to fall apart.
They say time heals all wounds, but I know that’s not true because life will never be the same without you.
Day by day goes by and you notice a song on the radio no longer makes you cry.
A person who reminds you of what could have been, now brings you peace instead of remembering the sadness within.
A butterfly goes by giving you hope that love is alive.
One day you are consumed with sadness and the next you try to contain the madness.
A wave crashes over you in the most unlikely place, and you turn away to hide your face.
You try to distract yourself and at times nothing seems to help.
Yet you move forward with each day hoping that the pain will go away.
With each sunrise and sunset, you notice that the pain is tiny bit less.
You do what you can and continue to know, you will live on understanding what once was is now gone.
Much Love! Beth
